Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child:
by Kris Cournoyer
Through the power of Christ, one shoebox gift lovingly packed by a family or an individual and delivered to a child overseas can have a big impact. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal. Be a part of changing children’s lives all over the world in Jesus’ Name through the power of a simple gift with Operation Christmas Child.
Since Operation Christmas Child first started in 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has distributed more than 123 million boxes to children all over the world, last year alone 10 million boxes were distributed. Skyline would like to again share our abundance with the children of the world this year. This is how easy it is to get involved:
It is that easy! Remember all items have to fit inside of the box, so you need to keep that in mind. Also, toothpaste and any hard candy must have an expiration date of May 2017 or later.
Those of you who know me, know that this is my mission of choice! All year round, I pick up things when they are on sale! My prayer is that my boxes bring as much joy and fun to the receiving children as I had preparing them. Please join me this year by getting involved. Last year my car was packed—front passenger seat, back seat and the trunk absolute full. I have a bigger car this year. Let’s see if we can fill it as full as we did my small car last year! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to talk with me, Kris Cournoyer or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
